Documents Needed to Get a Smart Card Driver's License.

To obtain a smart card driver's license, you will need to supply certain papers. They are as follows:

  • Fees for applications.
  • Proof of address (Aadhaar card, passport, Ration card, house agreement, gas electricity, telephone bills, letter from employer that you are residing in a particular city).
  • Age-defying (10th class mark sheet, PAN card, birth certificate, passport, transfer certificate from any school with the date of birth printed on it).
  • Photographs the size of a passport
  • Forms 1A and 1 are medical certificates that must be signed by a government doctor.

If you are replacing your old DL to a smart card, these are the documents you will want :

  • Age-defying (birth certificate, school transfer certificate, passport, etc.)
  • Original book-style driver's license copy
  • Proof of address (passport, ration card, voter ID, Aadhaar card, electricity bill, etc.)

Smart Card Driving License Form and Its Sections

The smart card driver's license is divided into three portions, or zones. In a nutshell, they are:

  1. Zone 1: visual inspection zone.
  2. It comprises some of the applicant's basic information. The following is the information:

    • Name of the applicant
    • Address of registration
    • Year of birth
    • Vehicle class Signature Vehicle type

  3. Zone 2: Zone that can be read by a machine
  4. This section provides details such as -

    • The chip in the driver's license has a serial number.
    • The date on which the driver's license was issued
    • Some information about the issuing authority
    • Validity of a driver's license

  5. Zone 3: Central Motor Vehicles Rules Zone.
  6. This is sometimes seen to be the most crucial component of the application. It includes details such as:

    • Was the driver ever fined?
    • Is he endorsed in any way?
    • The specifics of the breaches
