The MP government is finalizing its electric car policy, which will be revealed soon

According to state minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, the Madhya Pradesh government would shortly introduce an electric car policy and will also strive to encourage investment in the industry. We are finalising our industry policy for electric cars, which will be announced soon by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

We want to attract as much investment as possible in this industry, the minister for Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion told reporters after launching the two-day Madhya Pradesh Auto Expo here.

According to the department's senior secretary, Sanjay Kumar Shukla, the state government intends to unveil its policy on electric cars at this expo, but because a few of its points have still to be finalised, it will not be presented at the event and will be pushed out in May-June.

The event will include over 100 firms involved in the production of cars and their spare components. According to organisers, visitors will be able to see it without having to pay an admission charge.

Dattigaon also asked firms involved in car production, semi-conductor chip manufacturing, and other auto components manufacturing to invest in the state.

The National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) at Pithampur is one of Asia's largest facilities of its sort, and investors may take use of it, according to the minister.

On the occasion, he stated that the state government has already allocated 4,500 hectares of land to car manufacturing companies in Pithampur and Mandideep, and that further land is available for new businesses.
