Types of Driving Licence

1Online Application Process
- Go to the Ministry of Highways and Road Transport website: parivahan.gov.in/parivahan
- Click on 'Online Services' and choose 'Driving License Related Services'
- Select your state.
- Click on 'Apply Online' and choose 'Learning Licence'.
- Fill out the application form and submit it online.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents.
- Pay the application fees.
- Book a slot for the learning licence test.
- Visit the RTO to take the test.
- Your learning licence will be sent to your registered address after passing the test.
2Offline Application Process
- Visit your native RTO.
- Get the application form or download it from the RTO website.
- Fill out the form and submit it with the necessary documents to the RTO.
- Pay the application fees.
- Book a slot for the learning licence test.
- Take the test on the scheduled date and time.
- Once you pass the test, you'll receive your learning licence.
How to Get a Permanent Driving Licence (DL)?
To get a permanent driving licence, follow these steps
- Visit https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/
- Choose your state.
- Click on 'New Driving Licence' under the 'Driving Licence' menu.
- Enter your 'Learning Licence Number' and 'Date of Birth' to continue.
- Fill out the application Form 2
- Click on the Next Button to proceed.
- Visit the RTO on the scheduled date with the original documents and the fee slip.
